Nominations Invited for 2008 Hammer Award

(Cincinnati OH) The Architectural Foundation of Cincinnati (AFC) invites nominations for the second annual Hammer Award. The foundation will present the award at the Cincinnati Design Awards (CDA) banquet on Friday, November 14. The foundation established the Hammer to honor a practitioner who has made a consistent, significant contribution to the built environment of Greater Cincinnati over at least a 20-year-period. Nominees may be architects, designers, artists, engineers, developers, planners, officials—anyone who has taken a hands-on role in creating the built environment. AFC presented its inaugural 2007 award to Ron Kull, FAIA, a senior planner with GBBN.

Nominations must be made or signed by a member of AFC, the Cincinnati Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, the Society of Environmental Graphic Designers, the American Society of Landscape Architects, the American Society of Interior Designers, or the International Interior Design Association.

Nominations must be received at the AFC office, 127 West Ninth St., Unit 1, by September 3, 3 p.m. Please send regular mail or call ahead for delivery instructions.
