About the Event
Our second building tour of 2026 will focus on healthcare design in the behavioral health sector! The Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit at Akron Children’s Hospital—designed by Cannon +Detail and constructed by Summit Construction—is currently under construction and slated to open in late summer. This thoughtfully designed space prioritizes safety, dignity, and healing for young patients and their families. Following the tour, we will gather for a happy hour and discussion to share insights on interior design trends in pediatric and behavioral healthcare environments.
