About the Event
A social event that is focused on giving back to our community. It is a great opportunity to meet other new members, mingle with existing members, and learn about opportunities to get further involved in IIDA Outreach efforts. The event is a free event, but we ask that attendees bring item(s) for donation. Please consider supporting our partner, Safety Net, by bringing items from the following list for donation: toiletries, shampoo, shower soap, lotion, bras, socks, and undergarments for ages 12-18. For item examples, check out the Amazon wishlist here.
Safety Net provides temporary emergency shelter and counseling services to eligible youth, under the age of 18, who have run away or left home without permission of their parents or guardians, have been forced to leave their home, or are street-youth or homeless youth who might otherwise end up in contact with law enforcement or in the child welfare, mental health or juvenile justice systems. There are additional needs to spruce up their space so if you would like to dicsuss these opportunites please contact Jen Hrosko firstname.lastname@example.org.
Complimentary food and signature drinks will be available.
