Holiday Party Palette Competition Rules
Join our Holiday Party Finish Palette Competition and put your creativity, product expertise, and eye for design to the test. Build a cohesive, visually compelling palette using a mix of materials and finishes to demonstrate how expertly you can curate textures, colors, and products for a real-world design project. Competition Rules
1. Purpose
The goal of this competition is to showcase creativity, design sensibility, and product knowledge by building a cohesive, visually appealing finish palette using a variety of materials. This will allow the participants to demonstrate how well they can curate different finishes, materials, and textures for a potential design project.
2. Eligibility

Participants: Manufacturer representatives who submit a door prize for raffle are eligible to participate. Door prizes can be a gift basket, gift card, experiences, etc. These will be raffled off for attendees at our Holiday Party.

Materials: Use any materials you want to create your finish board! This can include, but is not limited to, fabrics, wallcoverings, tiles, hardware, laminate, veneer, flooring, acoustics, and other architectural finishes.

Custom items: If desired, participants may add custom elements or branded accessories to enhance the presentation of their palette (e.g., branded labels or festive elements).
3. Size and Format

The finish palette board must be no larger than 16" x 16" in total size.

The board can be made from any suitable substrate (e.g., foam board, plywood, or sturdy cardboard) that is capable of supporting various materials.
4. Judging Criteria
The finish palette will be judged based on the following criteria:

Creativity and Originality: How unique and inventive is the palette? Is there a creative use of materials?

Cohesiveness and Harmony: Does the palette work well together? Are the materials balanced in terms of color, texture, and finish?

Functionality and Practicality: Does the palette feel like something that could be used in a design project? Is it versatile or suitable for a variety of applications?
5. Judging Process

The competition will be judged privately during the holiday party by a panel of designated judges. Each entry will be scored based on the criteria outlined above.
6. Prizes
-
The winner of the competition will be awarded a door prize. The prize will be announced during the holiday party.

Additional recognition may be given for Honorable Mentions or Best in Show, depending on the number of participants.
7. Set-Up
-
Participants must set up their boards in the designated area by 6pm on the day of the event.

Please include your name and email address on your board. Winner must be present to redeem your door prize!
