REACAP: Enrich Giveback - Learn, Earn, Return

On August 22nd, attendees gathered for an inspiring and practical session led by Rita Amonett, NCIDQ, ASID, IIDA, Allied AIA, a 2023 ENRICH Fund recipient. Drawing from insights gained at the 2024 AIA Women’s Conference, Rita presented her Career Management Primer, guiding participants through strategies to take control of their professional paths with clarity, confidence, and intention.

The event explored the lifecycle of a career, emphasizing self-awareness, resourcefulness, and relationship-building as key drivers of long-term success. Rita highlighted the importance of identifying and leveraging available resources, building trust within teams, and understanding the dynamics of influence in the workplace.

A central theme of the discussion was mentorship—how different types of mentorship can support personal and professional growth—and the power of networking to create meaningful connections and new opportunities. Participants were encouraged to reflect on how they speak about themselves and others, as communication and attitude set the tone for professional reputation and workplace culture.

Rita also reminded attendees that a fulfilling career is not built by chance but through intentional growth, purposeful action, and giving back to the communities that nurture us. The session left participants with a renewed sense of direction and practical tools to navigate their careers with confidence and purpose.
