IIDA Cleveland Akron was pleased to participate in the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District's first REDUCE, REUSE, REPAIR Fair! The Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District has been our generous Zerolandfill partner for many, many years - and we were honored to be invited to this event to spread the word about Zerolandfill!
The event was held at the Watershed Stewardship Center on September 9th, and highlighted waste reduction activities and businesses dedicated to repairing personal goods, reducing the amount of waste we create and changing the mindset of simply throwing things away.
Zero Landfill participated with items collected from the design community to be repurposed. We found many other like minded organizations interested in partnering to repurposing items no longer needed.
We are excited to continue with our Zerolandfill program and continue to partner our local A&D community with our community at large to better our sustainability efforts!
