IIDA Columbus: Pride Parade March

On June 20, 2026, members of IIDA Columbus, AIA Columbus and NOMA Columbus gathered in downtown Columbus, to celebrate a shared commitment to inclusion, design, and community. Local design firms throughout Columbus participated in crafting skyscrapers in ode the Stonewall Columbus Pride March theme "Until We're All Free" that were displayed on the Columbus Architectural Studio K-truck.

In solidarity representing the design community, architects, interior designers, students, and allied professionals marched side by side, celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community! The parade is one of the largest in the midwest, attended by almost a million spectators and marchers celebrating pride in our community!

For IIDA Columbus, AIA Columbus and NOMA Columbus, the march is more than a parade—it is a visible expression of our commitment to creating welcoming spaces, equitable opportunities, and a profession where everyone can thrive. Together,  we demonstrated that design is not only about buildings and interiors, but also about fostering communities where all people are seen, valued, and supported.

Thank you to our generous sponsors, LOTH, KLH Engineers, King Business Interiors, Tim O’Neil & Associates, The Davis Group, MA Design, and SSOE for making this possible for the designers and architects to show up for our community. A special thank you to SSOE, MA Design, Team Kaleidoscope, The Collaborative + Acock, BBCO, Schooley Caldwell, Legat Architects, and Berardi + Partners for making the models as a part of the 2026 Pride Float.

Until next year, celebrating pride all year long!
