Last week, members from IIDA and ASID came together for an energizing discussion on the future of interior design legislation in Ohio. Hosted in collaboration with ASID Ohio North, ASID Ohio South, and Kentucky chapters, the session highlighted the growing national momentum behind legislative recognition for the profession — and how Ohio is poised to join that movement.
Attendees gained valuable insight into Ohio’s legislative history, current advocacy efforts, and the coordinated plan to advance meaningful legislation that supports the work and impact of interior designers statewide. The session underscored why these efforts are essential to securing professional recognition, protecting health and safety, and opening new opportunities for practitioners.
Thank you to everyone who joined this important conversation — together, we’re designing the future of our profession!
