IIDA Student Career Day 2025 - Columbus

This past Sunday, we hosted our annual IIDA Student Career Day at Minerva Park Middle School! Interior Design students from OSU, OU, Kent State, and CCAD spent the day connecting with design professionals, exploring career opportunities, and gaining valuable career insights.

We kicked things off with an amazing keynote from

Carrie Boyd,

CEO of MA Design,

who shared her journey to leadership and tips on how to “build your own brand".

Students then connected with a variety of design professionals—exploring potential career paths, hearing professional insights, and learning more about the industry.

To close out the day, students enjoyed a guided design tour of Minerva Park Middle School from Trevor Swanson, Project Manager at Triad Architects. Students gained firsthand insight into the design process, collaboration, and execution behind a real-world project.
