IIDA Cleveland Akron enjoyed a one-of-a-kind backstage tour last week through some of Cleveland's most beloved gems, the Playhouse Square Theaters! After enjoying a little time to network with friends in the industry at Bin216, our group toured through the historic Allen, Ohio, and Palace theaters and stages. The educational session was led by Tom Einhouse, VP of Facilities and Capital for the Playhouse Square. His 40 years of experience completing renovation and historic preservation projects provided a wealth of information for our guests. Along with Tom, Charlie and Chris from DLR Group Westlake Reed Leskosky, shared design stories and fun facts from their experiences in the Playhouse Square renovations.
After all our pressing questions were answered on the tour, the evening wrapped up with our raffle winner, Eva Hawk receiving tickets to see the American classic, "To Kill a Mockingbird"!
We want to extend a special thank you to Tom Einhouse, Charlie & Chris from DLR | Westlake Reed Leskosky for leading such a wonderful guided tour. We are so grateful they were willing to host us, and are happy to show our support with a donation to the Playhouse Square Foundation Education Fund.
Our IIDA Cleveland Akron committee is extremely grateful to be able to host such an exciting event, that absolutely would not be possible without our event sponsors!
We thank: J+J Flooring, Tarkett, Haworth, Hamilton Parker, Allermuir, Allsteel, Kimball, Stemle, APCO Signs, Patcraft, Shaw Contract, and Mannington for their generous support!
