In June, IIDA Columbus volunteers had the opportunity to teach a session about Interior Design at Camp Architecture and Design.
The Center for Architecture and Design hosts this annual summer camp for children ranging from 3rd - 8th grade.
During our session, we taught about color theory and materiality. The campers created color wheels, and then more detailed material boards.
The kids blew us away with their creativity and ideas! It was such a joy to see their unique, individual approaches and creative expression. We loved sharing a small aspect of what Interior Design can entail with the next generation of designers.
The future of our profession is in good hands!
