IIDA Columbus Year in Review for 2022!

As 2022 comes to a close, the IIDA Columbus City Center invites you to take a moment to reflect and review our great events and initiatives from this past year. We are happy to have shared a wonderful year with our members and design community, and thank you for being a part of IIDA!

In 2022…

We shared about the path to becoming NCIDQ certified during our NCIDQ Prep Talk event, featuring recently certified designers and an ambassador from CIDQ.

We toured the new Cover My Meds Columbus HQ and learned about the project firsthand from the owner and Perkins & Will design team.

We discussed specification integrity during an engaging roundtable event and heard a wide range of perspectives from our panel of industry professionals representing each discipline of a project team.

We networked with our design community and members during our annual Get Connected event, and enjoyed engaging some new volunteers, as well as sharing more about IIDA.

We donated countless interior product samples to teachers, camp counselors, artists and community members during our annual Zero Landfill sample drive.

We connected with students from Ohio University, Columbus College of Art & Design and The Ohio State University during our Student Career Day event and building tour of Westerville City Schools.

We taught a session on color theory and materiality to a group of students at Camp Architecture and Design.

We created a coloring book to educate children on our industry and interior design as a profession. These books will be distributed to our local YMCA in early 2023.

We celebrated design excellence across our entire Chapter and hosted the inaugural Chapter Design Awards here in Columbus at State Auto!

We gathered our members for an evening thanking them for their support and membership with IIDA. We learned about Columbus style pizza while enjoying food and fellowship together to close out the year.

We continue to thank our generous benefactors for their support of IIDA, as well as our City Center volunteers who work together to make programming and initiatives a reality. We are so excited for the future of our profession, and look forward to another wonderful year with our Columbus membership.

Thank you for being a part of IIDA, and cheers to 2023!
