RECAP: Cin/Day Golf Outing "The Open"

We extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the second IIDA Cin/Day Golf outing, now known as "The Open." It was wonderful to reconnect with familiar faces from last year's event and welcome many new participants as we expanded from one session to two. Hosted at Meadow Links Golf Course in Cincinnati, we are particularly grateful to the course for their support, cooperation, and provision of beverages, as well as for hosting our second golf event. The board opted for an individual team theme, adding an element of fun and creativity as participants showcased their unique ideas. The outing was initially conceived to involve people in a casual golf event, offering an excellent opportunity for everyone to enjoy golf, regardless of their skill level or frequency of play. Therefore, it was fitting to hold it again at an executive par 3 course with only 9 holes. The event featured 17 teams, each comprising 4 golfers from various industries, totaling over 70 golfers, hole sponsors, and volunteers for the day. Awards were given for longest drive, closest to the pin, Champions of Fun, Best Team Attire, and, naturally, the overall best team score. This event was made possible by our fantastic sponsors, including 9-hole sponsors who ensured fun beyond the golf course, as well as sponsors for headlining, awards, and drinks. The weather was perfect, everyone had a great time, and it was a fantastic second year for the event. If you missed the excitement this year, watch for next year's announcements.
