RECAP: LOU|LEX CEU Day 2026

CEU Day at The Parthenon offered an inspiring blend of education, design, and connection. Held beneath an intriguing domed ceiling, the sessions unfolded in a unique setting that elevated the overall learning experience.

The day featured three engaging CEUs that explored both innovation and impact within the design industry. Designing for the Fifth Wall, presented by William Baker Co., encouraged attendees to rethink ceilings as an essential design element, emphasizing the power of thoughtfully designed overhead spaces. Work as Play: How Charles and Ray Eames Built a Legacy by Amusing Themselves, presented by MillerKnoll, highlighted how Charles and Ray Eames infused curiosity and play into their work across furniture, architecture, exhibitions, and film—shaping both their legacy and American Modernism. The final session, Neurodiversity, presented by Haworth, explored inclusive design by deepening understanding of sensory experiences, offering practical strategies to create environments that better support neurodivergent individuals and foster more inclusive, productive communities.

Between sessions, attendees were able to enjoy breakfast and lunch and explore a dynamic tradeshow featuring a variety of vendors showcasing innovative materials and forward-thinking solutions. These intentional breaks allowed guests to recharge while networking, sparking conversations, and engaging more deeply with the latest in design.

The day concluded with a final happy hour, where attendees gathered to reflect, exchange insights, and continue conversations—bringing the experience to a thoughtful and engaging close.
